Bite Me is based at Matava Resort, a AAA rated 3&1/2 star eco-lodge on the South East side of Kadavu Island. Traditional thatched Fijian bures perch on the island's rainforrest covered slopes with private decks offering magnificent views out over the sheltered coral lagoons and Great Astrolabe Barrier Reef. Matava is a genuine eco-adventure-hideaway designed to cause minimal impact on the environment and to promote conservation awareness with our local community and visitors. Matava is designed to blend with its natural environment.
With only 9 traditional thatched Fijian bures nestled in the rainforest accommodate up to 22 guests, Matava offers privacy, comfort and superb ocean views. Traditional thatched Fijian 'bures' with additional timber polished floors, louver windows, timber four poster beds and private decks are nestled in the rainforest to offer privacy, comfort and superb ocean views.
Oceanview bures offer spectacular panoramas of The Great Astrolabe Reef and surrounding offshore islands. Waterfront bures are nestled along the foreshore, immersed in beautiful tropical gardens and surrounded by lush rainforest. Ecologically conscious yet adventure driven Matava heralds a new breed in holiday experience. See our Photo Gallery for bigger and better pictures: Matava Resort Photo Gallery |
