Giant Trevally 23kg lee tuhiwai The flat out bullies of the coral reef systems here, GTs range in size from 5kgs to well over 50kgs.

Usually targeted by casting poppers, Giant Trevally chase down and smash a surface lure, then charge off straight to their favourite coral pinacle to try to bust you off.

Giant Trevally fight hard and never quit. If you survive the first minute, your are in with a chance.
	We target fish in the 10-30kg range with medium tackle.
This incukdes mid-range Daiwa threadline reels or Shimano TSS4s on Shimano T-Curve Bluewater 24kg rods.
	Some anglers target the Giant Trevally monsters here but unless you use top of the range specialist gear (with one outfit capable of costing in excess of $2,000) and tighten your drag up with pliers, the big 50kg+ Giant Trevally are unstopable.
